Products & Materials

All our roll-up shutters, folding closures, and privacy screens are fabricated from high-grade extruded aluminum. Aluminum is our material of choice because it delivers the ideal combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and low maintenance — critical for the GTA’s climate, which includes harsh winters, humidity, and UV exposure. Our awnings use UV-resistant acrylic or solution-dyed polyester fabric stretched over powder-coated aluminum frames.
Roll-up shutters are solid aluminum slat systems that roll into a compact housing above the opening — designed primarily for security, insulation, and weather protection. Privacy screens are semi-transparent or mesh-based roll-down systems that provide shade and privacy while maintaining airflow and visibility. Folding closures (including bi-fold doors and accordion grilles) operate on a track system and fold to the side rather than rolling up — ideal for wide openings like cabanas, storefronts, and garage-style spaces where full open-air access is desired.
Our products are available in a wide range of powder-coated finishes including white, sand, brown, anthracite grey, black, and beige as standard colours. Custom RAL colour matching is available for most product lines — ideal for matching your home’s exterior or commercial branding. All powder-coat finishes are applied electrostatically and cured for maximum durability and fade resistance.
We offer both manual (crank or strap-operated) and motorized options across all product lines. Motorized systems use quiet tubular motors and can be operated via wall switch, remote control, or integrated into smart home systems including Google Home and Amazon Alexa. We recommend motorized operation for larger openings and for customers who want the convenience of app or voice control.
Yes — all our products are engineered and selected specifically for Canadian climates. Our roll-up shutters provide an additional layer of insulation reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. The aluminum components are treated to resist salt, moisture, and freeze-thaw cycles. Our awning fabrics are rated for four-season use and can be retracted in high wind or heavy snow conditions for protection.

Pricing & Quotes

Pricing varies based on the size of the opening, product type, motorization, and finish selected. As a general guide, residential window shutters start from approximately $800–$1,200 per opening, while larger applications such as garage doors, storefront shutters, or full cabana enclosures range from $2,500 and up. We provide detailed, itemized quotes at no charge following your free in-home consultation — so you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying for before committing.

Yes — completely free and no-obligation. During the consultation, one of our team members visits your property to take accurate measurements, assess the installation environment, discuss your goals and preferences, and walk you through the most suitable product options. You’ll receive a written quote typically within 24–48 hours of the visit. There is no pressure to proceed and no fee regardless of whether you move forward.

Financing options are coming soon. We’re currently working with lending partners to offer flexible payment plans that make it easier to invest in your home or business security. In the meantime, we accept major credit cards, e-transfer, and cheque. Contact us to discuss your situation and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

No. Our quotes are comprehensive and cover product supply, custom fabrication, and professional installation. The only scenario where a quote may be adjusted is if site conditions discovered during installation differ significantly from what was visible during the consultation — for example, structural modifications required to a wall or frame. In any such case we communicate with you before proceeding and never carry out additional work without your approval.

Installation Process

Most residential installations — including a single garage door, window shutters, or a cabana enclosure — are completed within a single day. Larger commercial projects or multi-opening residential installations typically take two to three days. Our team arrives with all materials pre-fabricated to your measurements, so on-site time is efficient and disruption to your home or business is minimal.

Our typical lead time is 2 to 4 weeks from the date your order is confirmed. This includes custom fabrication of your shutters or closures to your exact measurements and specifications. Rush timelines may be available depending on product type and current capacity — ask us at the time of your quote if you have a specific deadline.

Minimal preparation is required on your end. For interior or garage installations, we ask that the area around the opening is cleared of furniture, vehicles, or stored items within approximately three feet. For exterior installations such as storefront shutters or outdoor enclosures, no special preparation is needed. Our team handles all tools, hardware, and cleanup — we leave the site clean and tidy.

Our installation process is designed to be as non-invasive as possible. Mounting brackets are secured directly into the structural frame around the opening using appropriate fasteners for your wall type — whether masonry, wood frame, or steel stud. Any penetrations made are sealed and finished neatly. In the rare case that a surface requires patching or touch-up, we’ll discuss this with you before proceeding.

We handle both. Canada Shutter Pros is a full-service company — we supply, custom fabricate, and professionally install every product we sell. We do not offer supply-only orders as proper installation is critical to product performance, safety, and warranty validity. Every installation is carried out by our own trained team, not subcontractors.

Service Areas

Canada Shutter Pros is based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We serve the full Greater Toronto Area including Toronto, Vaughan, Markham, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Brampton, Newmarket, Aurora, Thornhill, Barrie, and surrounding communities. We also serve cottage country and waterfront properties across Ontario — including installations in Peterborough and the Kawartha Lakes region. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, contact us and we’ll confirm.
For properties within the core GTA and York Region there is no travel fee. For locations further afield — including cottage country, Barrie, Peterborough, and other areas beyond the GTA — a travel fee may apply depending on distance and project scope. This will always be disclosed upfront in your quote. For larger projects, travel costs are typically a minor portion of the total investment.
Yes — we work with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and business owners across all sectors. Our commercial work includes storefront security shutters, counter roll-up shutters, dispensary security installations, commercial folding closures, and large-scale pergola and awning projects. Residential work ranges from single window shutters to full multi-opening home security systems and outdoor living enclosures.

Maintenance & Warranty

All Canada Shutter Pros installations come with a comprehensive 5-year warranty covering both materials and workmanship. This means if any component fails under normal use conditions within five years of installation — whether a slat, housing, motor, or mounting hardware — we will repair or replace it at no cost to you. Our warranty reflects our confidence in the products we install and the quality of our installation work.
Our products are designed to be low-maintenance. For roll-up shutters and folding closures, we recommend a light cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft cloth two to three times per year, and a quick inspection of the guide rails and locking mechanism annually. For motorized systems, avoid forcing the motor manually. For awnings, retract during heavy wind or snowfall. We provide a full maintenance guide with every installation. Normal wear from regular use does not void the warranty.
Yes. We follow up after every installation to confirm you’re satisfied and that everything is operating as expected. If you have questions about operation, need a minor adjustment, or experience any issue covered under warranty, simply contact us and we’ll arrange a service visit. Our team is based locally in Richmond Hill — we’re not a national chain with a call centre, so you’re always speaking with someone who knows your job.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental impact (such as a vehicle hitting a garage shutter), unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow basic maintenance guidelines. Storm damage or acts of nature beyond normal Ontario weather conditions are also excluded. In any claim situation we assess fairly and communicate clearly — our goal is always to stand behind our work.

Additional Benefits of Installing Roll-Up Shutters

Roll-up shutters are a practical, high-impact upgrade for both homes and businesses. In addition to security, they offer year-round protection, comfort, and efficiency—making them a valuable investment beyond their primary purpose.

Weather Protection

Shutters provide sunlight management and help you stay cool during the summer. And during the winter, they offer more insulation and prevent leaks.

Theft Protection

For commercial property, this is an essential benefit to consider. But for homeowners with patios, garages, and pool houses too.

Cost-Efficient Solution

Replacing your windows and doors with energy-efficient glass can be costly and might take a while before you see any ROI. Instead of cracking up the AC, consider roll up shutters as a cost-effective and environmentally conscious alternative.

Custom Made to Fit

Roll up shutters can complement the aesthetics of your home. It's easy to customize them and paint them in any colour you choose. Whether you need to cover the windows or change the garage door, outfitting your home or commercial space with roll up shutters is our job here at Canada Shutter Pros.

Weather Protection

Engineered with tight-sealing side guides and a durable resin-coated aluminum finish, our roll-up doors are built to withstand heavy rain, snow, wind, and temperature swings—keeping your garage dry, secure, and protected year-round.

Noise Reduction

Designed with precision-fit tracks and optional insulated slats, our roll-up doors operate quietly and help dampen outside noise—perfect for laneway garages near busy streets or shared residential spaces.
