Turn Your Cabana Into a Four-Season Space

Cabanas are designed for open-air enjoyment — but an open structure also means exposure. When a summer storm rolls in or the bugs come out at dusk, you want to close up quickly without disassembling anything or dragging panels out of storage. Motorized roll-up shutters give you one-touch enclosure on every opening.

When closed, interlocking aluminum slats seal out rain, wind, insects, and intruders. When open, the shutters retract into compact housings above each opening — completely out of the way. No removable panels, no seasonal curtains, no annual setup and teardown.

Foam-filled slat profiles retain warmth from patio heaters or a firepit, extending your cabana season from early spring through late fall. We offer multi-opening packages with synchronized control — one remote raises or lowers all shutters at once.

Benefits

Why Cabana Shutters?

Multi-Opening Packages

Most cabanas have 3 to 6 openings. We offer package pricing with synchronized motorized control — one remote operates all shutters simultaneously.

Weather Sealed

Closed shutters form a weather-tight barrier against rain, wind, and snow. Protect furniture, electronics, and finishes during storms and off-season.

Insect Barrier

Fully closed shutters block mosquitoes and other pests — making evening entertaining comfortable without chemical sprays or screens.

Season Extension

Enclosed cabanas with foam-filled shutters retain heat from patio heaters or fireplaces, extending usability well into fall and early spring.

Security & Lockup

Lock up your cabana when away — closed shutters protect outdoor furniture, BBQ equipment, and electronics from theft and weather.

UV Protection

Block 100% of UV to prevent fading on outdoor furniture, cushions, and finishes. Partially open for filtered light when desired.

Product Fit

Recommended Profiles for Cabanas

Most cabana shutters use a Standard profile — it handles weather protection, insect control, and privacy without over-sizing the housing for a residential structure.

Common Questions

Cabana Shutter FAQ

Yes. Multi-opening cabana systems use synchronized motorized control — all shutters can be operated simultaneously from a single remote, or individually if you prefer to manage each opening independently. Smart home integration allows scheduling, voice control, and scene-based automation.
The housing box and side guides are secured to the structural members of the cabana frame — typically through the fascia or header beam. For wood-frame structures, we use through-bolting or lag screws into solid framing. For steel or masonry structures, appropriate anchors are used. The mounting is designed to handle the load of the shutter curtain and wind resistance.
No. Roll-up shutters are designed to remain installed year-round. The aluminum and powder-coat finish handle Ontario winters without issue. In winter, the shutters are typically left in the closed position to protect the cabana structure and contents. Spring startup requires nothing more than opening the shutters.
Extruded aluminum is chemically resistant to pool water splash, chlorine vapour, and the humidity that builds up in pool areas. This is one of the reasons aluminum is specifically preferred over steel for outdoor structures near pools. The powder-coat finish is UV-stable and won't blister or peel in a pool environment.
Not in the fully open position — the shutter rolls into the housing and can't be partially deployed as a screen. For mosquito screening functionality, you'd want a partial close (lowering 75-80% of the way) which provides a large overlap with the opening while still allowing some airflow. Full roll-up shutter screens aren't a substitute for mesh insect screens, but a closed shutter is a complete insect barrier.
